What can I do?

Interested in volunteering with HELP?

Volunteers with the HELP Program offer assistance and activities that keep patients mentally and physically active. This extra attention enhances patients comfort and helps them maintain their independence while hospitalized.

Volunteers visit patients three times a day seven days a week between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. The minimum volunteer commitment is one weekly 3-hour shift for six months. The HELP Program welcomes volunteers who are 16 years and older.

Volunteer Tasks

Volunteers offer assistance with activities such as:

  • walking and range of motion (ROM) exercises
  • meal assistance
  • stress reduction
  • a wide range of therapeutic activities.

As a volunteer for HELP, you can touch lives and feel the rewards of helping and providing assistance to older adults.
