Baby Pictures
Looking for babies born at Inova Women's Hospital Birthing Center? Baby pictures are located in a secure area on the Welcome Newborn website, which means the mother's name and password are required in order to view a baby picture. Access codes are available from the baby's parent(s).
Breastfeeding Mothers Support Group
- About this group: Our Breastfeeding Mothers Support Group meets on Thursdays in the hospital from 10 to 11 a.m. This group is facilitated by an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant®, and a baby scale is available for weight checks. Participation in this support group is free, and registration is not required. Parking in the Green garage is complimentary. Call 703-776-6455 for additional information.
- Location: Inside the Women's Hospital building at Inova Fairfax Medical Campus (map). Park in the Green garage. Take the visitor elevators to the 5th floor. Group is in the sitting room, right outside the visitor elevators. Parking is free (we will provide a voucher for the garage).
"Beginning Steps for Parents" Program
This program helps promote healthy infant/child development, enhances parenting skills and strengthens families' ties to community resources. It is available exclusively at Inova Women's Hospital Birthing Center and is available to all qualifying first-time parents giving birth within our center.

Tours and Educational Classes
Potential, new, and expectant parents can choose from a variety of childbirth and family education courses. Class topics include childbirth preparation, C-section, breastfeeding, baby care, grand-parenting, multiples, and sibling preparation. Inova Well offers free maternity tours of the Inova Women’s Hospital Birthing Center, as well as free postpartum support groups for new moms. Inova Cares Clinic for Women provides outpatient prenatal and gynecological charity care for residents of Fairfax County in collaboration with the Fairfax County Health Department.

Expectant parents will want to plan for their hospital departure by ensuring the baby's car seat has been properly installed for safety. Below is a list of locations throughout the Northern Virginia area that can provide a car seat safety inspection. NOTE: Your car seat must be installed before the inspection.
