How many residents do you accept?

We have two residency positions available.

When was your program developed?

The Inova Mount Vernon Hospital PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency was established in 2016. The program received ASHP accreditation in 2017.

Where do residents live?

Residents typically prefer to live in close proximity to Inova Mount Vernon Hospital in the Alexandria, Arlington or Washington, DC, area (or within a ten-mile radius). The hospital is conveniently located near a major DC metro area freeway (I-495), which makes it accessible from all directions.

Do you conduct interviews in the Personnel Placement Service (PPS) during the ASHP Midyear Clinical Meeting?

No. We attend the residency showcase, but do not conduct residency interviews in PPS.

Is office space available for the residents?

Yes, residents are provided with office space. Computers are available in the residents' office.
