A native of New Jersey, Dr. Cannon is married with 2 sons. His wife, Amy, works for Save the Children. In his spare time, he likes to play sports (particularly soccer, flag football, tennis) and read books. He was a member of two Division I basketball teams (University of Utah as a freshman and then later at Brigham Young University) in the 1990s and continues to be a huge basketball fan.
