Biography

Dr. Mahajan is an interventional pulmonologist who is board certified in Interventional Pulmonology, Pulmonary Medicine, Critical Care Medicine, and Internal Medicine. He serves as the Medical Director of Interventional Pulmonology at Inova Fairfax Medical Campus. He joined Inova Medical Group with over 10 years of clinical experience. Over that time he has published multiple papers and book chapters in his field. He has a special interest in management of complex airway and pleural diseases including lung cancer. He is formally trained in procedures such as rigid bronchoscopy, stent placement, cryodebridement, laser therapy, endobronchial ultrasound bronchoscopy (EBUS), electromagnetic navigation bronchoscopy, and tunneled pleural catheter placement.

Dr. Mahajan became interested in Interventional Pulmonology, Pulmonary Disease, Internal Medicine and Critical Care Medicine to provide treatment to patients with complex airway and pleural disease.

A native of Ohio, Dr. Mahajan currently resides in Vienna, VA with his wife and two children. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his family and playing basketball.
