Biography

Dr. Abdulla A. Damluji is an interventional cardiologist and a member of the Structural Heart program. He is also the director of the Inova Center of Outcomes Research (ICOR), dedicated to produce innovation and improve outcomes for older adults undergoing cardiovascular interventions. He is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine (JHU) and a Pepper Scholar at JHU Center on Aging and Health.

As a Pepper Scholar, Dr. Damluji received funding from NIH to study health outcomes, frailty, and multisystem dysregulation in older adults after cardiovascular interventions. He is board certified in interventional cardiology, cardiovascular disease, internal medicine, echocardiography and nuclear cardiology. He joined Inova Medical Group with more than 13 years of clinical experience.

Dr. Damluji received his medical degree with honors from University of Baghdad, and Master’s in Public Health (MPH) with a concentration in Biostatistics from Johns Hopkins University. He is a doctoral (PhD) candidate in Clinical Investigation at the Johns Hopkins University.
