Mahmood Abedi, MD

Mahmood Abedi, MD, FASGE, AGAF, is co-director of Inova Fairfax Hospital Advanced Endoscopy Center. Dr. Abedi is a board-certified gastroenterologist with advanced training in treating complicated gastrointestinal disorders. His areas of expertise include all aspects of interventional endoscopy, gastrointestinal neoplastic disorders and pancreaticobiliary endoscopy. He is also an expert in endoscopic ultrasound/FNA, therapeutic ERCP, mucosal resection and luminal stenting.

Dr. Abedi joined Gastroenterology Associates of Northern Virginia (GANV) in February 2011 as a full time hospitalist dedicated to the GE Lab and the Inova Fairfax Hospital Advanced Endoscopy Center. His on-site presence enhances accessibility and continuity of care for inpatient consults.
