These are exciting times at Inova Fairfax Hospital, the flagship of Inova’s five hospitals, and the Inova Surgery Residency Program.
Inova Fairfax Medical Campus serves nearly 4 million people with nearly 1,000 beds through the five hospitals on campus. An extensive, five-year campus expansion has recently concluded with the opening of the new Inova Women’s Hospital, a new Inova Children’s Hospital, and a new 10-story patient tower. Additionally, the Inova Center for Personalized Health has opened housing, a new Schar Cancer Center and an expansion of basic science research and simulation center space.
Inova's diverse and growing community provides a wide range of experiences and professional challenges for our surgery residents. The surgery resident will serve and learn from a multi-cultural patient population of all ages. Inova Fairfax Hospital has large clinical programs in general surgery, vascular/endovascular surgery, thoracic surgery, level 1 trauma center, surgical critical care, acute care surgery, pediatric surgery, hepatobiliary surgery, minimally invasive surgery and transplantation surgery.
