Coronary Care Unit
The cardiology section at Inova Fairfax Medical Campus welcomes the opportunity to co-manage critically ill cardiac patients with house staff. The individuals in this large section are board-certified cardiologists who serve as the attending of record for patients on the CCU service and participate in combined management and teaching rounds. These faculty members also administer the CCU house staff lecture series. The medical directors of the CCU conduct monthly meetings to discuss the teaching service in an effort to continually improve the house staff experience during the rotation.
