Patient Information: Inova Rehab Services

Patient support services

Often during recovery, our patients and their families and friends deal not only with pain but the uncertainty of illness, sometimes life threatening.

All Inova hospitals provide multidenominational pastoral emotional and spiritual support. Our pastoral care staff also helps our patients and families address the theological, bioethical, philosophical and cultural issues that often arise when facing illness and injury.

Inova also offers numerous support groups to assist patients and family members during the recovery process and beyond.

Trauma Survivors Network (TSN)

The Trauma Survivors Network (TSN) is a community of patients and survivors looking to connect with one another and rebuild their lives after a serious injury. Research suggests that we can improve post-trauma outcomes by providing peer support programs to patients and their families, helping them connect with one another, and teaching them the skills to self-manage the day-to-day challenges of recovery.

TSN holds monthly support groups for survivors and caregivers. These groups offer support, coping skills, and education to attendees.

For more information about the TSN, please contact Shira Rothberg at 703-776-4930 or shira.rothberg@inova.org.
