Biography
Ton has been a practicing Physical Therapist since 2000 in a variety of settings that include in-patient hospital, industrial, private practice and home health services. He completed his graduate work at the University of Evansville, Indiana, and became a certified Athletic Trainer after working as a student athletic trainer for four years with the men's NCAA football, soccer & basketball program. Ton returned to complete his doctorate of Physical Therapy from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2011 and was recognized as an Orthopaedic Certified Specialist (OCS) by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties in 2012.
Prior to joining the Inova team, Ton practiced as a lead/senior Physical Therapist in a large, not-for-profit medical center in northern Virginia while actively pursuing continuing education courses to be certified as a provider of Graston Techniques (instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization), Kinesio Taping Practitioner and APTA- Credentialed Clinical Instructor. In the near future he plans to successfully complete trigger point dry needling training. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his family: assisting with officiating for his two girls in their swimming events and serving as a committee member for his son who is active with the Boy Scouts of America (BSA).
