Biography

Katie has been with Inova since graduating in 2013 from Northern Virginia Community College (PTA). She has worked in inpatient and outpatient settings. Prior to becoming a Physical Therapist Assistant, Katie became an ACE Certified Personal Trainer and had worked for over 12 years in fitness with extensive training in yoga (including pre/postnatal) and Pilates, most of it for Fairfax County Park Authority. Since becoming a PTA, she has primarily treated patients for orthopedic injuries/joint replacements, strokes, Parkinson's Disease (LSVT BIG certified), vestibular/concussion, breast cancer, gait and balance deficits.

Katie is passionate about wellness programming. She loves helping people learn how to prevent, and manage, personal physical barriers while achieving their highest movement potential to enjoy life. She grew up playing soccer, and now loves to go amateur ballroom dancing, practice yoga and Pilates, and participate in outdoor activities like hiking, biking, and skiing.
