Biography

John Peter Tooley, PT, DPT joined Inova Physical Therapy Center in 2015 and has over 4 years of clinical experience. He has special interest in the management of sports and orthopedic injuries of athletes among all ages.

Peter is an American Physical Therapy Association credentialed clinical instructor and is currently working on completing his residency in orthopedic manual therapy from the Institute of Physical Art.

Working to overcome injuries of his own as a former collegiate football and lacrosse player was what led Peter to become interested in physical therapy. His goal is to help patients realize their own potential for efficient movement and to empower them to achieve their functional goals and return to the activities that they love.

Peter grew up in Wooster, Ohio where he resided until moving to Washington, D.C. to attend The George Washington University where he earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, playing basketball and beach volleyball, running, hiking, and anything else active in the outdoors.
