Biography
Connie has enjoyed many years of patient care since she graduated from Old Dominion University, School of Physical Therapy in 1981. She started out at Inova Fairfax Hospital and from there specialized in outpatient orthopedic PT. She has been with IPTC since 1993. She completed her clinical doctorate in PT from Des Moines University, an osteopathic school with a strong musculoskeletal approach, in December 2006. She has taken multiple continuing education courses with primary focus on manual therapy, McKenzie spine, and biomechanical assessments.
She has also been involved as an Adjunct Professor with the Marymount University Doctorate in PT program assisting with the orthopedic tutorials, the NOVA PTA program for the Modalities Class (included joint mobilizations), and with her Alma Mata, Des Moines University as a rubric grader of Senior class capstone projects. She currently likes using some of her Yoga class experience to benefit many orthopedic patients. She enjoys working out, swimming and walking with her dog.
