Naturopathica®
Danielle Augustino, RPA-C is a Certified Registered Physician Assistant with 10 years of experience in cosmetic dermatology and plastic surgery. She has been trained to safely and effectively treat all skin types and has advanced training in dermal fillers, BOTOX®, ablative/nonablative lasers, IPL/BBL photorejuvenation, and laser hair removal. Danielle is one of the providers at the Inova Medical Spa in Ashburn, VA.
A few years ago, we introduced Naturopathica®: an organic skincare line that particularly benefits our clients with sensitive skin, rosacea, and cancer. It’s also wonderful for our expectant mothers and new moms who might be breastfeeding.
Naturopathica® products are made in the U.S. and are audited and certified by EcoCert. Their formulations do not contain any toxic ingredients or irritants – and, ingredients are sustainably and responsibly sourced. Additionally, Naturopathica® does not test on animals and are cruelty free.
My favorite Naturopathica® products are Sweet Lupine Cleanser, Carrot Seed Oil and Calendula Cream. I find these of even more benefit in the fall and winter when our skin requires a bit more hydration. These products are very gentle, yet effective:
Sweet Lupine Cleanser is a 2–in-1 cleanser and makeup remover which also hydrates and plumps the skin.
Carrot Seed Oil contains antioxidants and anti-inflammatory ingredients which soothes and prevents redness caused by dry, irritated skin.
Calendula Cream can be applied over the Carrot Seed Oil. This product is also an anti-inflammatory as is the perfect for dry, delicate skin. It also has properties which even help to heal wounds and mild burns.
These products are so gentle; I use them on my four year old son if he has a rash or dry, irritated skin. As an infant, if he developed a diaper rash, the Carrot Seed oil actually healed it--and quickly.
