New patients may contact our referral coordinators by emailing kidneytransplant@inova.org, or by calling 703-776-6056.
Other referrals
Referrals may also be initiated by a:
- Nephrologist
- Dialysis unit
- Insurance company
After the referral is initiated, the referral coordinator takes demographic and insurance information. Financial approval is requested along with medical records and copies of insurance cards. The patient is scheduled for a transplant education class and then scheduled for initial team appointments after financial approval is obtained.
