Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid CPR AEDDetails | Register
The Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid CPR AED course is designed to meet the regulatory requirements for child care workers in all 50 United States. It teaches child care providers and others to respond to and manage illnesses and injuries in a child or infant in the first few minutes until professional help arrives. It covers the four steps of first aid and first aid skills such as finding the problem, stopping bleeding, bandaging and using an Epinephrine pen, as well as child CPR AED, infant CPR and adult CPR AED, and how to use a child and infant mask barrier device.

Basic Life Support (BLS) Classes
BLS (New & Renewing Students)Details | Register
The American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Course has been updated to include science and education from the 2015 Guidelines Update for CPR and ECC. This four hour course teaches both single-rescuer and team basic life support skills for application in both pre-hospital and in-facility environments, with a focus on high-quality CPR and team dynamics. This Instructor-led course has students participate in simulated clinical scenarios and learning stations. Students work with an AHA BLS Instructor to complete BLS skills practice and skills testing.

HeartCode BLS Blended eLearning Course (New & Renewing Students)Details | Register
The American Heart Association HeartCode BLS Blended Learning Course is for healthcare professionals seeking an alternative method for completing an initial or renewal BLS Course. This course reflects the 2015 CPR & ECC Guidelines. HeartCode® BLS uses a variety of eLearning assets such as dramatizations, eSimulations, animations, self-directed learning, and interactive activities to teach students BLS knowledge and skills. This course consists of two parts:
- Part 1 - Online eLearning Course – After registering for this course you will receive an email within 1-4 days containing your HeartCode BLS eLearning code. The email containing your code will come from this address: keys@onlineaha.org. This code provides access to the online course. After successfully completing the online course you will receive a certificate of completion. Please note, you must print and bring a copy of the certificate of completion with you to the in-person HeartCode BLS classroom course you have selected. You will NOT be admitted to the in-person class if you do not bring your certificate of completion. We suggest allowing at least 2 hours for the online eLearning course.
- Part 2 - In-Person Classroom Course – After completing the online eLearning course described above, you will then attend the pre-scheduled in-person classroom course on the date you registered for. This in-person classroom course will include hands-on practice and skills testing. The structured classroom portion takes about 2.5 hours and requires on-time attendance for the full course. Please note, if you arrive late or leave early you will NOT successfully complete the course.
- Card: After successful completion of the online eLearning course and the in-person classroom course, a card valid for two years will be issued.

BLS Instructor CourseDetails | Register
The American Heart Association BLS Instructor Course prepares instructor candidates to teach the Basic Life Support Provider courses and Heartsaver courses. The instructor candidate must have excellent skills and have a recommendation from an instructor to attend this course.
- Requirements to take this course: BLS instructor candidates must meet certain requirements before taking the BLS Instructor Course. In order to become an AHA BLS Instructor, all candidates must:
- Be licensed or certified in a healthcare occupation in which the BLS skills are within their scope of practice
- Have a letter of recommendation
- Be aligned with an AHA Training Center
- Demonstrate excellent CPR skills before the start of the course
- Requirements to pass this course: To become an instructor, you must successfully complete the BLS Instructor Course and be monitored teaching a BLS Provider Course successfully (this could take more than one monitoring).
- Card: After course completion criteria are met, a BLS Instructor card will be issued.

Family and Friends Classes
Infant CPRDetails | Register
The American Heart Association Family and Friends Infant CPR course teaches infant CPR skills (birth to 12 months). It is designed for those people who want to know and be aware of what to do in a situation where a baby may choke, stop breathing, or not have a pulse. You will learn how to open an airway that is obstructed and how to perform CPR until EMS arrives. This course is for personal enhancement and should not be taken by those who need to know these skills for their job.
- Card: This is not a certification course, no card is issued.
- Cost: $45 per attendee; separate registration and payment is required for each attendee.
Family and Friends CPR – Adult, Child & Infant SkillsDetails | Register
The American Heart Association Family and Friends CPR - Adult, Child & Infant Skills course teaches the lifesaving skills of adult Hands-Only CPR, adult CPR with breaths, child CPR with breaths, adult and child AED use, infant CPR, and mild and severe airway block for adults, children, and infants. This course is ideal for community groups, new parents, grandparents, babysitters, and others interested in learning how to save a life. Please note, children are not permitted to attend this course.

Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Classes
ACLS Provider 2-Day CourseDetails | Register
This two-day American Heart Association ACLS Provider Course is designed for healthcare professionals to enhance their skills in the treatment of the adult victim of a cardiac arrest or other cardiopulmonary emergencies. Emphasis is placed on the importance of proficiency in High Quality CPR to patient survival. Effective High Quality CPR along with advanced cardiovascular life support interventions and the importance of effective team interaction and communication during resuscitation are the core concepts of this course.

HeartCode® ACLS Blended eLearning CourseDetails | Register
The American Heart Association HeartCode ACLS Blended Learning Course is a blended learning delivery method that combines the best of classroom learning with eLearning. HeartCode ACLS uses eSimulation technology to allow students to assess and treat patients in virtual healthcare settings.
- Accessing the eLearning Online Course: After registering for this course you will receive an email within 1-4 days containing your HeartCode ACLS eLearning code. This code provides access to the online course.
- Completing the eLearning Online Course: The eLearning course starts with completing a required precourse self-assessment. Students will then be presented with a team dynamics lesson and 10 In-hospital patient cases, including a BLS case and 2 megacode cases. The cases may be repeated as many times as necessary to pass. Upon successful completion of all the patient cases, students will take a multiple choice exam and must pass with a minimum score of 84%. After successfully completing the online course you will receive a certificate of completion. Please note, you must print and bring a copy of the certificate of completion with you to the in-person HeartCode ACLS classroom course you have selected. You will NOT be admitted to the in-person class if you do not bring your certificate of completion. We suggest allowing at least 6.5 hours for the online eLearning course.
- In-Person Classroom Training Course: After completing the eLearning online course described above students then attend their pre-scheduled classroom teaching session which includes hands-on practice and skills testing. The structured classroom portion takes about 2 hours and requires on-time attendance for the full course. Please note, if you arrive late or leave early you will NOT successfully complete the course.
- Card: Upon successful completion of the online and classroom testing, a course card good for two years will be issued.

The American Heart Association ACLS Instructor Course is an intensive course for instructor candidates who have already successfully completed the ACLS Provider Course. The instructor candidate should exemplify integrity, demonstrate strong ethics, communicate clearly, and model a dedication to quality of training.
- Requirements to take this course: ACLS instructor candidates must meet certain requirements before taking the ACLS Instructor Course. In order to become an AHA ACLS Instructor, all candidates must:
- Be licensed or certified in a healthcare occupation in which the ACLS skills are within their scope of practice
- Be aligned with an AHA Training Center
- Complete an Instructor Candidate Application and file it with your Training Center
- Have a current/official AHA ACLS Provider course completion card
- Be proficient in the skills of ACLS
