To diagnose atherosclerosis, or narrowing of the arteries throughout the body, the center offers the full gamut of vascular studies including angiograms and Doppler ultrasound. Treatments for opening blocked vessels include angioplasty, stent placement and atherectomy. To get the clearest picture during therapy, the center is equipped with advanced digital X-ray technology, known as flat-panel imaging. Flat-panel imaging results in significant reduction in radiation exposure to both the patient and the operator and allows for superior quality imaging and the ability to perform complex interventions on small vessels.
