Application Requirements

All applications must include the following:

  • A completed AAMC-ERAS application for residency
  • Three letters of recommendation from US or Canadian physicians, one must be from the OB/GYN Department Chair
  • The Medical School Performance Evaluation (Dean’s letter) or equivalent
  • Official Medical school transcript
  • Official USMLE transcript

International Medical Graduates:

  • Must have ECFMG certification
  • Must be proficient in spoken and written English
  • Inova Fairfax Hospital accepts H-1 and J-1 visas

Applicants selected for interview will be notified by the email indicated on their ERAS application. Applicants will be given the opportunity to choose one of the interview dates available. If you receive an invitation for an interview please confirm by email as soon as possible. Each candidate will be provided key institutional documents, such as the GME agreement/contract, leave policy, residency policies, salary/benefits and insurance information at the time an interview is offered. The candidate will need to attest to the acceptance and review of these documents.
