Suboxone Treatment
Inova CATS Program utilizes suboxone for the treatment of patients who are physically dependent on opiates such as heroin and prescription narcotics. Suboxone is medication that eases the withdrawal process.
Patients typically begin their treatment in the Inpatient or Day Treatment programs and move on to participate in the intensive outpatient or relapse prevention programs. During this time, they receive monitored medication management by the Inova CATS Program medical director or staff physicians.
As treatment progresses, patients work closely with the counseling and medical staff to safely taper off suboxone.
