Nursing Academic Education

As a registered nurse at Inova, you play a critical role in delivering on our promise to meet the unique needs of each person we are privileged to serve – every time, every touch. In keeping with our patients’ changing needs for nursing care and improved outcomes, and to prepare our workforce for the future, Inova supports nurses in achieving their Bachelor’s of Science in nursing (BSN) or higher nursing degree.

Paying for school

Inova offers 2 programs to support current Inova nurses pursuing a BSN Degree. Each program has its own application and set of deadlines so please read carefully. The programs are:

• Inova’s Tuition Benefit Program Inova has increased its annual total tuition reimbursement for eligible employees who are seeking a BSN degree. Visit the Human Resources eServices center to find out information about this program. Click here to log in to eServices.
• The Inova Nursing Excellence Scholarship Program is for eligible Inova nurses enrolled in accredited BSN, MSN, DNP or PhD nursing programs. Click here for more information about scholarships

Choosing a School of Nursing

• Check InovaNet (requires an Inova login) for the current list of affiliates. Only students attending these schools are permitted to do clinical rotations at Inova regardless of employment status.
