Outcomes team analyzing data

The Outcomes Research Program conducts and supports the following types of research:

Exercise

Measurement of joint range of motion, muscle strength, muscle endurance, aerobic capacity (cardiac output and oxygen capacity), ambulation and grip strength.

Self-Reports

Measurement of disability, functional activity, mood, affect, health status, satisfaction and quality of life.

Development of Biopsychosocial Approaches to Chronic Liver Disease

The program utilizes significant collaborations between Inova and George Mason University. In this capacity, it serves as a liaison between investigators from both institutions to promote clinical research and to develop/support the inclusion of functional outcome measures.
