Biography

Spencer graduated from Husson University in Bangor, Maine where he earned the Award of Excellence for demonstrating outstanding academic and service achievements. Spencer combines a personal interest in yoga, strength training, and sports with a university whose education is noted for its focus on manual orthopedic treatments. He first became interested in movement sciences as an undergraduate, when sport-related injuries introduced him to the transformative power of skilled physical therapy. He is certified as a Bikram Yoga instructor, and has taught at Bikram Yoga studios across Northern Virginia.

Past clinical experiences in Outpatient Orthopedics and Pediatrics with Neurological Disorders have given Spencer the opportunity to treat disorders affecting the entire age spectrum. During his education he served as the president of the Organization of Physical Therapy Students, and through planning numerous charitable events realized the value of physical therapy as a tool to support healthy communities. In addition to physical therapy, Spencer is an avid DC United and Chicago Bears fan, and enjoys competing in triathlons and relaxing with his hound dog Hayden in his spare time. He is excited be a part of the Inova Health System team, and looks forward to working with clients to achieve their highest levels of health and wellness.
