Why it matters:
Some breast cancer treatments can cause risks to your heart that can manifest during and after treatment. Common conditions such as hypertension or high cholesterol can increase your risk of heart failure or coronary artery disease during treatment for breast cancer and also many years after successful treatment.
Our ability to treat breast cancer has greatly improved and, as a result, many more patients are surviving or living with breast cancer. This increases the importance of optimizing cardiovascular health before, during and after cancer treatment.
Your next step:
Register to learn more about Inova's approach to prevent, detect, monitor and manage the impact of breast cancer treatment on the heart. After a short presentation, Dr. Barac will answer your questions.
Important:
Participants must also register with Zoom to join the live event. The link will be included in your confirmation email from Inova.
