Pulmonary Diagnostics

Inova's Pulmonary Diagnostics program provides testing and treatment to assist referring healthcare providers with your lung care. We offer pulmonary diagnostics at four locations. Contact a location for more information on testing.

We provide pulmonary function testing, exercise testing and specific treatments that provide the ordering healthcare provider with important clinical information that will impact:

• Assessing lung health
• Confirming a diagnosis
• Classifying disease severity
• Determining the best therapy
• Evaluating response to prescribed therapy
• Assessing disease progression

• Preparing for lung, heart, abdominal or other surgeries (to assess lung status and identify underlying problems)

• Living with neuromuscular disorders (to assess lung involvement and monitor progression)

Healthcare Provider Referral – Order and Insurance Authorization

You must have an order from your physician, nurse practitioner or physician assistant, to undergo pulmonary diagnostic testing and treatments. Once you have orders, our scheduling team will assist you with insurance authorization. Contact us for more information.
