Reason for coming to Inova Fairfax Hospital:

Initially, I was drawn to Inova Fairfax l because of the strong emphasis placed on acute care rotations, teaching, and precepting. I knew completing my PGY-1 here would provide me highest quality training and prepare me for my PGY-2. However, during my interview the preceptors' enthusiasm and desire to invest in residents convinced me that Inova Fairfax would be a perfect fit. I am confident that this challenging, yet rewarding, experience will propel my future professional growth.

Reason for coming to Inova Fairfax Hospital:

For my PGY-1, I wanted to be able to experience all areas of medicine and gain a well-rounded year of training. Inova Fairfax showcased many practice areas which would expose me to a wide variety of patients and diagnoses. Having a wide array of topics throughout my training would help me learn and develop to be able to handle many medication concerns in any practice field. Also, Inova Fairfax provided opportunities such as the Teaching and Learning Certificate which could assist in my own personal growth to become the best pharmacist and leader that I can be.

Reason for coming to Inova Fairfax Hospital:

Inova Fairfax Pharmacy Residency Program provides a well-rounded PGY-1 pharmacy practice experience due to the wide variety of rotations available in several specialties. Additionally, Inova Fairfax is the only level-1 trauma center in Northern Virginia. The complex cases often seen on rotations will enable me to grow my clinical knowledge base and become more confident as a practitioner.

Reason for coming to Inova Fairfax Hospital:

I wanted a PGY-1 pharmacy residency program that was at well-rounded academic medical center but still had some community hospital traits. Inova provides multiple rotations and research opportunities in my primary areas of interest. Inova Fairfax Hospital gives me the chance to explore my interests as well as work with a variety of clinical specialists and medical teaching teams. Inova Fairfax is also the largest hospital in the Inova group and has affiliations with multiple pharmacy schools in the area which allows the residents to obtain a teaching certificate and gain experience in academia.

Reason for coming to Inova Fairfax Hospital:
I chose to continue my residency training at Inova Fairfax Medical Campus because I wanted to further expand my clinical knowledge in an environment of supportive preceptors and mentors. My specialty training and learning experiences in emergency medicine will allow me to become an impactful and meaningful clinical pharmacy specialist to optimize patient care. Within emergency medicine, I have a focused interest in cardiology and academia.
